The real sentiment within UMNO

For me the discussion about the live airing of the UMNO General Assembly is very puzzling. The main leaders are now saying some delegates are black ducklings for voicing 'unsuitable' issues. They are even threatened with legal action.

I guess it must be the fault of the Permanent Chairman and his deputy that this get out of hand.

That is if we choose to look at things from their perspective.

To me, the delegates spechees are echoing the actual thinking and sentiment of UMNO members. It is apparent that Abdullah, as President failed to feel the hearts of members when he chose to take a different stand, a politically correct one to please the leadership of the BN component parties.

By right General Meetings of all political parties should be aired live on television. This will give a chance to the Malaysian people to evaluate the stand of each party.

It is clear the people can conclude that UMNO has exposed its racist and anti-unity face recently.

But what will be very sad is that if the people who loves this multi ethnic and multi cultural country allows UMNO to hold power much longer. It is time for the people to act and defend the harmony of this country by rejecting the racial politics of UMNO-BN.

Time for change!
